Kan Puthy, Director of the Primary Education Department at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MOEYS), stated that collaboration with Aide et Action Cambodia (AEA) aims to assist targeted schools through the use of technology in teaching and learning.

As of January 17, 2025, the Ministry of Education announced the official implementation of the Primary Learning Programme nationwide, with over 7,000 schools participating to date.
He noted that students from low-income families still face challenges accessing learning facilities, while some schools continue to lack adequate equipment to meet the needs of both students and teachers.
AEA Director Vorn Samphors said that AEA supports the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports in helping children facing educational challenges, particularly those from low-income backgrounds, those with migrant parents, and out-of-school youth, acquire quality digital learning skills.
AEA has been expanding its influence in Cambodia’s education sector by building new schools, refurbishing thousands of classrooms, and providing essential materials and equipment. This initiative offers children who have missed vital educational opportunities the opportunity to resume their studies in school.
