To promote tourism and enhance community livelihoods in Teok Chhu district’s ecotourism areas, Aide et Action (AEA) Cambodia, in collaboration with the district administration, organised a free cycling event under the theme “Cycling for Health, Education, Environment, and Local Economy,” encouraging visitors to explore local resorts while decreasing pollution from motorbikes and cars.
Vorn Samphors, the Country Director of Aide et Action Cambodia (AEA), stated today that AEA is pleased to provide both materials and funding to the Teok Chhu district Administration to make this cycling service free of charge, aiming to attract tourists visiting the area.
He added that the total number of bicycles available for tourists to ride free of charge is 80, comprising 50 purchased directly by AEA and 30 donated by various charities.

“I hope that providing bicycles for cycling free of charge is part of attracting tourists to ride those bicycles at various tourist sites in Teok Chhu District and will be a part of attracting more national and international tourists to visit this location, and residents can also sell their tourism products to those guests to improve the economy of the families and communities in the area,” Samphors said.
Teok Chhu district has numerous resorts situated close to the district hall, and the roads are easy to traverse as they are all made of concrete and asphalt. Additionally, tourists can enjoy a variety of local bicycle rides, whether as a family, as a team, or with friends, while the district authorities are preparing around 80 bicycles to offer tourists for free use.
