This week marks an important chapter in our journey to make education accessible for all. Action Education / Aide et Action is delivering 10 community and school libraries across the coastal provinces of Kep and Kampot.
“This week, we’re delivering 10 libraries in Kep and Kampot. Once installed, we’ll stock them with inspiring books,” shared our dedicated Engineer Officer, Sophorn Von.

These libraries are more than wood and pages. They are gateways to imagination, anchors of hope, and symbols of shared knowledge.
Through our COSAVED project, co-funded by the European Union, one of our goals is to improve literacy, promote lifelong learning, and foster a love of reading among coastal children and community members.
Libraries: From Classrooms to Communities and Beyond
On 22 October 2025, a library arrived at Namiko Phnom Sor Sier Primary School in Kep. Every book opened there will unlock new worlds of opportunity and expand young minds, because reading empowers children to dream bigger and reach higher.

On 23 October, another library found its home in Phnom Chngok, Kampot. Community members will have a dedicated space to share knowledge, discover stories, and grow together.

On 24 October, a kiosk was delivered at Phum Thmey, a beautiful eco-tourism site nestled between mangroves and the sea. Tourists will be invited to pause, explore local stories, and support community-led eco-tourism, turning leisure into learning.

Turning Pages, Opening Minds: Knowledge as Connection
These libraries are more than just kiosks — they are spaces of imagination, discovery, and hope.
By making books available to everyone — from young learners to adult readers — we empower communities to grow stronger and more resilient. When these libraries open, waves of change will ripple outward, because learning thrives where books are easily accessible.
Turning pages. Unlocking potential. Changing lives.
