Mr. Vorn highlighted AEA’s ongoing collaboration with the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, other relevant ministries and institutions, local authorities, and schools. These partnerships aim to improve the quality of education from early childhood through to primary and secondary levels. The overarching goal, he noted, is to support Cambodia’s sustainable development and long-term economic growth.

He also revealed that:

  • AEA has already invested nearly USD 100 million into the education sector.
  • Current initiatives focus on vulnerable and out-of-school children and are being implemented across 1,700 schools nationwide.
  • More than 40 national and international organizations are partnering with AEA to deliver programs that support children and strengthen the overall education system.

Beyond education, AEA is also engaged in projects related to tourism, environmental protection, and local economic development—particularly in coastal areas. In addition, some programs specifically target children with disabilities, children in remote regions, and those living in poverty.

Samphors Vorn emphasized that these efforts have shown positive outcomes thanks to the active involvement of government institutions, local authorities, civil society, and educators. As a result, many children now have access to quality learning opportunities. AEA remains committed to continuing this work so that children not only gain knowledge and skills but also become key contributors to Cambodia’s future economy.

To further strengthen the education system, Mr. Vorn called on the Ministry of Education and the Royal Government to increase their attention to disadvantaged children and schools in remote areas, even as reforms currently focus on model schools. He also stressed the need for greater investment in teacher training and encouraged more engagement from all levels of local authorities, communities, and families.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Put Samith, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, reiterated that the future of children is the future of the nation. He expressed hope that all relevant ministries, institutions, and civil society organizations would join efforts to build a more resilient and inclusive education sector. Representing the leadership of the Ministry, he affirmed continued support and cooperation to equip the next generation with knowledge, good behavior, and strong moral values—enabling them to contribute meaningfully to Cambodia’s development.
