In the small coastal villages of Cambodia, children carry hope in their hearts. For many, even the simplest school supplies—a notebook, a pencil, a school bag—can make the difference between learning and being left behind.
Across the world, access to quality education remains uneven, particularly in rural and remote regions of the Global South. For countless children in Cambodia, attending school is not merely a daily routine—it is a journey against obstacles.
Even the most basic tools can transform their experience of learning.
Co-Action: From Notebooks to Possibility
In November 2025, Action Education / Aide et Action provided essential school materials to children at Don Bun Primary School, Kampong Trach district, Kampot province thanks to its COSAVED project, which is co-funded by the European Union.

When children cannot afford school supplies, donations help to level the playing field, allowing disadvantaged students to participate on equal terms with their peers.
These items are more than mere objects; they are instruments of possibility, enabling students to write, calculate, and explore their potential in a world that too often leaves them behind.
Co-Impact: School Supplies That Make a Difference
Receiving new materials can also boost a child’s confidence and pride in school, fostering a sense of belonging and ownership over their learning, which strengthens motivation.

By equipping children with the tools they need, we challenge the lingering inequities of an unjust world—where poverty, geography, and historical neglect limit opportunity. We reaffirm our commitment to every child’s right to learn, to grow, and to imagine a future shaped by their own talents and determination.
Education is not only about knowledge; it is about reclaiming agency, dignity, and hope. Even something as simple as a notebook or a school bag can light the way for a child determined not to be left behind.
