In Cambodia, Action Education / Aide et Action (AEA) uses the power of cartoons to spotlight solutions that make education inclusive and equitable for every child. Through fun, relatable characters and meaningful messages, our animated series engages audiences of all ages, while addressing real-world challenges in education.
In Season 2 of our cartoon series, Edukha, a bright little pencil with a big heart and her pen friends share their love for school. Together, they tell a powerful story in three steps: (1) Education sparks action, (2) action drives change, and (3) change opens doors to even more education. It’s a cycle of hope and empowerment — and it all starts with education!

Episode 1 – Water & Hygiene Education: Our little pencil with a big heart, Edukha, teaches the importance of clean water and good hygiene at school. While many struggle without access to clean water, others overconsume it – That’s called water inequity! Determined to make a difference, Edukha installs handwashing stations in remote schools, shares simple hygiene tips, and helps every child feel safe, healthy, and ready to learn. Episode 2 – Girls’ education: For International Women’s Day, Edukha shares a powerful message: Every girl deserves to shine! Many girls miss out on school because they help at home, care for siblings, or lack access to resources. Sometimes, families simply can’t afford it. Episode 3 – Environmental education: In this episode, Edukha takes learning outdoors to the mangrove forest — a magical place under threat from deforestation and pollution. Our little pencil teaches children that trees clean the air, protect the water, and provide homes for animals. Episode 4 – Early Childhood Education: Our cheerful pencil Edukha sets off on a mission to unlock the power of early childhood education —but the remote village she visits has no preschool. So how do we give little ones the best start? Edukha builds a school, adds latrines and a playground, provides in educational games, and ensures children have healthy school meals. Episode 5 – Providing School Materials: In this episode, Edukha and her friends delve into something super important: school materials! Remoteness and poverty are big challenges for education. This is why Edukha wants to break the economic barriers. Providing school materials encourages children to attend school and helps prevent early dropout.
