Dyna: Environmental Education Through Fashion

A 24-year-old architecture and urbanism student, Dyna Thithyavan is working toward a greener, more sustainable future. He’s an example of how youth can lead the way in environmental education.

Through his involvement with Action Education / Aide et Action (AEA)’s partner, Youth Star Cambodia, Dyna contributes to a range of educational initiatives as a dedicated volunteer.

One of Dyna’s actions is raising awareness about Cambodia’s endangered species and marine life. He proudly wore an AEA T-shirt during the Sea Festival in December 2024. The T-shirt, a symbol of eco-consciousness, helps raise conversations about Cambodia’s endangered species and the need for a sustainable approach to marine life protection.

For Dyna, this is just one step toward realizing a greater vision: to make urban spaces greener and more sustainable. “My wish is to become an urban planner because I would like to make the environment greener,” Dyna explained.

With a passion for architecture, he dreams of reshaping cities to coexist with nature in a way that’s both eco-friendly and resilient. Urban spaces are often disconnected from nature, but they can be transformed into green cities that not only withstand climate challenges but also contribute to conservation efforts.

His efforts reflect a growing generation of young Cambodians who are using their voice, influence, and actions to advocate for climate action. As a young volunteer who works with children in rural areas, he can inspire communities to think about their role in preserving the planet.

Together, let’s dress for impact. Small actions can spark meaningful change.
